Dr. Destan Kirimhan

Dr. Destan Kirimhan currently serves as an Editorial Board Member at Elsevier Digital Business and as an Assistant Professor of Finance at American University of Sharjah, with previous experience as an Assistant Professor of Finance at The University of Texas at El Paso. Dr. Kirimhan is also an Associate Team and Research Fellow at the Digital Euro Association and has been involved in a mentoring program through the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center. Prior roles include affiliated faculty at the Evidence-Based Cybersecurity Research Group and graduate research assistant in the finance department at the Darla Moore School of Business. Dr. Kirimhan has held an instructional position at Baskent University and served as an Assistant Expert at TUBITAK, contributing to national science and technology strategies in Turkey. Academic credentials include a PhD in Finance from the University of South Carolina, ongoing PhD studies in Economics at Middle East Technical University, a Master’s in Economics from Bilkent University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from TOBB Ekonomi ve Teknoloji Üniversitesi.
