Marcus Mechmann

Marcus Mechmann has over two decades of experience in information technology. Marcus is currently the Senior Director of Information Technologies Cloud Architecture at Digital River, where they lead international technology organizations and delivers cloud-based solutions. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Director of Information Technologies and the Director of Information Technologies at Digital River. Earlier in their career, they worked at element5 GmbH as the Team Manager of IT European Operations, where they focused on optimizing infrastructure and ensuring high availability and performance. Marcus also has experience as a Projektmanager IT-Solutions at Tropolys and as the Teamleitung DV-Projektmanagement at TeleBeL, where they managed IT operations and designed high availability infrastructure. Overall, Marcus Mechmann has a proven track record of leadership and expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and delivering full stack solutions.

Marcus Mechmann began their education at St. Anna Gymnasium Wuppertal, where they completed their schooling until 1992. Marcus went on to pursue a degree in Elektrotechnik at Gesamthochschule/Universität Wuppertal from 1993 to 1998. Marcus furthered their education at FernUniversität in Hagen from 1998 to 2000, focusing on Elektrotechnik, Eletronik und Kommunikationstechnik. In addition to their formal education, Marcus has obtained various certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional and AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in 2023 and 2022 respectively. Marcus also holds certifications in SLA compliance determination and AWS Solutions Architecture at both the Associate and Professional levels. Marcus has additional qualifications as a Mirantis Certified Administrator for OpenStack Professional Level.
