Walter Lopez

Walter Lopez has worked in various financial roles since 1998. Walter began their career at Manpower Mexico, S.A. de C.V. as Corporate Controller, where they reported monthly financial information under USGAAP and implemented internal controls in the Accounting, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable departments. From 1999 to 2001, they worked at América Móvil as Corporate Controller, where they were responsible for the Accounting department and Taxes, and elaborated working papers for the 20-F report for the SEC purposes. From 2004 to 2011, they worked at Brightstar Corp. as Internal Audit Director Global and CFO Mexico, where they were responsible for SOX project, managing and leading audits in 27 subsidiaries located in 20 countries, and preparing an annual assessment of the effectiveness of internal controls over the consolidated financial information. From 2011 to 2017, they worked at Tech Data as Controller Director LAC, where they reported on a monthly basis the LATAM financial information under USGAAP for TS Business, implemented and homologated internal controls and best practices on the Accounting and Accounts Payable and Cash Application activities, and built an engaged employee community. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at goMixus A Different Way as Senior Manager Consultant, where they served as a consultant advisor with clients developing, designing and implementing finance strategies. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at Hotels Management International "HMI" as Partner, where they provided quality services within the Hospitality and Vacation Club industry. Since 2021, they have been working at DigitalReef as VP Corporate Controller, where they are ensuring reporting monthly the LATAM financials under USGAAP for Nicaragua, Panama, Brazil, implementing processes, procedures, systems, and financial controls that maintain the integrity and accuracy of the Company's financial data and ensures compliance and consistency to GAAP, and implementing Lease accounting treatment in all the subsidiaries based on the ASC 842 accounting practices.

Walter Lopez is currently pursuing a Master's degree in MBA at Universidad Anáhuac. Walter has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad de Negocios ISEC. Walter has also taken courses in Business Communications at the University of Toronto and has a Post degree in Corporate Finance and International from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
