Simon Jakobsen

Simon Jakobsen has had a diverse range of work experiences in various roles and positions. Simon began their career as a Sales Advisor at Cervera while studying, working part-time during evenings, weekends, and holidays. During this time, they were also actively involved in the student association, Föreningen Ekonomerna, where they served as the Head of Corporate Relations and Secretary of the Board, responsible for maintaining strong relationships with partners and connecting members with future employers.

In 2018, Simon joined Benify and held multiple roles, including Management Trainee, FP&A Business Process Developer/Business Optimization Specialist, and Sales Strategy Lead. As a Management Trainee, they worked on various operational and strategic projects, created presentations and reports for senior management, and managed the annual spring conference. In their role as an FP&A Business Process Developer/Business Optimization Specialist, Simon successfully obtained R&D-tax deductions from the Swedish Tax Authority and led a cross-functional project to redefine and improve Benify's multinational product offering. Finally, as a Sales Strategy Lead, they played a key role in developing and executing Benify's long-term commercial plan, advising the leadership team on strategic initiatives and projects.

In 2020, Simon joined Nova Talent, a talent knowledge hub and professional network, as a Member. Simon became part of a community that connects tech and business leaders and provides opportunities for sharing, learning, and networking in an open environment.

Most recently, in 2022, Simon became the Chief of Staff at DigitalTolk, a company that revolutionizes the interpretation services industry through its automated platform. As Chief of Staff, they are responsible for driving alignment across the group's three distinct business areas, working on budgeting, go-to-market and strategy planning, fundraising, organizational development, and interim business controlling work.

Throughout their career, Simon Jakobsen has demonstrated their ability to take on diverse responsibilities and contribute to the growth and success of the companies they have worked for.

Simon Jakobsen attended Stockholm University from 2015 to 2018, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Business. In 2017, they also briefly studied at Singapore Management University, obtaining another Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Business. In February 2020, Simon received a PRINCE2® Foundation Certification Training from Metier OEC.
