Casey Medlin

Casey Medlin has a diverse work experience spanning several years. They are the Owner and Founder of Transitioning Teachers Network since May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Web Content Editor at an undisclosed consulting company for an undisclosed client starting from March 2023. From August 2008 to March 2023, Casey served as a Learning And Development Specialist at Fort Bend ISD, where they created an inclusive environment, served as a team leader, and collaborated with stakeholders to achieve project goals. They also held the position of President of Operations at the Music and Technology Conference of Houston from June 2017 to October 2019, where they implemented diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies, managed the conference, and supervised the budget. Additionally, Casey was the Vice-President of Elementary Music at the Texas Music Educators Association from February 2017 to February 2019, where they focused on diversity and inclusion initiatives, implemented a mentoring network, and improved workshop grant proposal processes.

Casey Medlin's education history begins in 2003 when they attended Louisiana State University and pursued a Bachelor of Music Education degree, specializing in Music Education. This course lasted until 2007. In 2009, Casey acquired the Orff-Schulwerk Approach Certification from the Alief Independent School District, which is accredited by the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. This certification continued until 2011, furthering Casey's expertise in Music Education.

Casey's dedication to expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of Music Education continued in the later years. From 2018 to 2021, they enrolled in the Fort Bend Kodály Institute, which is accredited by the Organization of American Kodály Educators. During this period, Casey obtained a Kodály Certification, further specializing in Music Education.

In addition to these academic achievements, Casey also obtained various certifications related to coaching, leadership, and employee management. These certifications were obtained through LinkedIn and include "Building a Coaching Culture: Improving Performance Through Timely Feedback," "Business Development Foundations," "Leadership Foundations," "Managing Employee Performance Problems," "Managing Others Effectively," "Boosting Your Team's Productivity," "Creating a High Performance Culture," "Developing Your Team Members," "Inclusive Leadership," "Performance Management: Setting Goals and Managing Performance," "Practicing Fairness as a Manager," and "New Manager Foundations." These certifications were obtained between September 2022 and November 2022.

In terms of teaching certifications, Casey also obtained the Texas Teaching Certification from the Texas Education Agency in April 2020. This certification further enhances their abilities as an educator.

Continuing their focus in the field of Music Education, Casey also completed the American Kodály Educators Teacher Education Program in October 2021, conducted by the Organization of American Kodály Educators. Additionally, in August 2011, Casey obtained the Orff-Schulwerk Teacher Education Curriculum Certification from the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. Both certifications contribute to Casey's expertise and proficiency in Music Education.
