DeGary Martin began their career in 2015 as a Cashier, Stocker, and Produce at Food Lion. After two months, they were asked to cover at another store location due to their work ethic, professionalism and consistency. In 2016, they were promoted to Senior Guest Advisor and Inventory Manager at GameStop. Here, they gained experience opening and closing the store alone, handling money and deposits, and manifesting shipments/deliveries without supervision. In 2017, they became a Cashier, Stocker, and New Hire Trainer at Dollar Tree Stores. Theirexpertise of customer service and expediting deadlines caught the attention of the district and store manager, and they were appointed as the primary training representative. In 2018, DeGary Martin worked as a Technical Support Specialist at Accenture, where they answered phones, chats, and emails about the project they were assigned to and assisted customers with billing, technical, and subscription issues. DeGary also worked as an Energy Advisor at Reliant Energy, where they were tasked with talking with people face to face, assisting them with any questions, comments, and or concerns with their electricity bills. In 2019, they became an IT Support Specialist at Whole Foods Market, where they assisted over 570 locations via ticketing system, managing the ticket system and creating both hardware & software based service requests. In 2021, DeGary Martin began working as a Technical Support Specialist-Robotics at Diligent Robotics, where their duty is to act as a back end monitor for the robot Moxi and troubleshoot any issues it may have during its daily duties.

DeGary Martin attended North Carolina Central University from 2013 to 2017, studying Behavioral Sciences.
