Dine' College (formerly Navajo Community College), the first of 30 tribal colleges, is a public (and accredited) institution of higher education chartered by the Navajo Nation. The mission of Dine' College is to apply the Sa'ah Naagha'i Bik'eh Hozhoon principles (a Navajo Four-Directions, Four-Worlds model) to advance quality student learning through Nitsahakees (Thinking), Nahata' (Planning), Iina' (Living), and Siih Hasin (Assuring). It both helps preserve Dine' (Navajo) tradition and prepare students for the modern workforce in mainstream America and the emerging Global Village.
