Rhys Jones

Rhys Jones is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and application development. Currently serving as Head Of Engineering at Direct Line Group since June 2017, Rhys has previously held significant roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland, including Senior Manager in Digital & Engineering Services and Director of Application Development and Maintenance. Rhys has demonstrated expertise in architecture governance, digital transformation, and cloud computing, with notable contributions to the £90m Game Changer programme and the successful implementation of a private cloud initiative. With a background that includes leading teams at UBS Investment Bank, Rhys has consistently advocated for Agile methodologies and has delivered substantial cost savings across various projects. Rhys holds a BSc in Computation from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology and a Startup MBA earned in June 2014.
