Tracey Nauer has over 16 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Tracey'smost recent role is as the Vice President of Home & Community Based Services at the Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities, a position they have held since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Complex Care at the same organization from November 2018 to July 2021.
Before joining Direction Home, Tracey worked as an Administrator at Grace Hospice from September 2017 to September 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Hospice Administrator at Cleveland Clinic from February 2016 to September 2017.
Tracey's career began in 2005 as the Director of Nursing at Ohio Living, where they worked until February 2011. Tracey then joined Cleveland Clinic Akron General as the Director of Home Care, Hospice, and Palliative Care, a role they held for five years from February 2011 to February 2016.
Throughout their career, Tracey has gained extensive experience in hospice and palliative care as well as in home care services. Tracey has held roles with increasing responsibility and has demonstrated their strong leadership and management skills.
Tracey Nauer's education history begins with their earning an Associate's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Stark State College, which they completed between 2000 and 2005. Tracey then pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Walsh University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2011. Tracey further advanced their education by obtaining a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration from The University of Akron, completing it from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their degrees, they also received a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Kent State University in December 2012.

Direction Home Akron Canton, along with 11 other Area Agencies on Aging across the state of Ohio, was designated by the Older Americans Act which was designed to provide services to persons not adequately served by other public and private systems. Our focus is funding and advocacy surrounding programs and services that allow older adults and people with disabilities to remain independent and in the home of their choice.
