Ragnheidur Asta Valgeirsdottir has been working in the art industry since 2016. Ragnheidur Asta started as a Set Dresser and Prop Master for TV, films and advertisement, working with clients such as True North, Pegasus and Sagafilm. In 2017, they began working as an Illustrator, doing various work for children's books, book illustrations, posters, wall paintings, portraits and more. Additionally, they worked as a Graphic Designer for various projects such as advertisement, logos, branding, product design, layout for books and leaflets, photo editing, website design, etc. In 2020, they began working as a Concept Artist, and in 2022, they will join Directive Games as a Concept Artist, working with character and costume concepts, and occasionally doing environmental and building concepts. Ragnheidur Asta will also be giving feedback to outsourcing, collaborating with Tech and 3D artists and working closely with the Art Director.
Ragnheidur Asta Valgeirsdottir obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Digital Arts from the University of Cumbria between 2014 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Art and Illustration from the Reykjavik School of Visual Arts between 2012 and 2014. Ragnheidur Asta also obtained a Stúdentspróf in Félagsfræðabraut from Menntaskólinn við Hamrahlíð between 2006 and 2009. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Anatomy of Clothing from CGMA | Computer Graphics Master Academy in November 2021.
