Phil Bruen

Phil Bruen is a seasoned professional in the employee benefits and disability management sector, currently serving as a Board Member for the Disability Management Employer Coalition (DMEC) since January 2023. As a Strategic Advisor at Penguin Benefits and Ushur since February and January 2022, respectively, and as Principal of Maine Street Consulting, LLC, since July 2021, Phil provides expert guidance in group insurance and employee benefits. Previously, Phil held significant roles at MetLife, including Senior Vice President of Group Life and Disability Product Management, and Vice President positions focused on disability products and absence management. Phil's extensive career also includes leadership roles at Unum and Liberty Mutual, where expertise in product management, market development, and compliance was demonstrated. Phil holds a BA in Biology from Colby College.
