Kaia Bergmann-Dean

Kaia Bergmann-Dean is a frontend developer at Discern.io. Kaia has also worked as a contractor for James & Hoffman, P.C. and as a corps member for American Conservation Experience.

Kaia Bergmann-Dean grew up in a small town in upstate New York. Kaia always loved spending time outside and was interested in environmentalism from a young age. After high school, they decided to pursue their passion for environmentalism by joining the American Conservation Experience as a corps member.

During their time with the American Conservation Experience, Kaia worked on various projects with the Park Service and Forest Service to help protect and conserve nationally protected land. Kaia also gained experience using a variety of manual and power tools.

After their time with the American Conservation Experience, Kaia decided to continue their education and pursue a career in law. Kaia began working as a contract researcher for James & Hoffman, P.C., a progressive law firm. In this role, they conducted research for cases, assisted attorneys in reviewing and summarizing interview material, created spreadsheets to compile and organize data, and drafted summaries of research material for pleadings.

Kaia is currently working as a frontend developer at Discern.io. In this role, they are responsible for developing and designing user-facing web applications. Kaia is also working on creating a new website for the company.

They work with Hubert Glowiak - Frontend Developer, Bowen Zhang - Software & Data Engineer, and Pengzheng Zhang - Software & Data Engineer. Their manager is Wei Tang, VP of Engineering.
