Kayla VanSlyke

Kayla VanSlyke has worked in various roles since 2012. Kayla began their career as a Hostess at Shawns Irish Tavern in 2012. In 2016, they became a Sales Associate at DSW. In 2018, they were a Human Resource Management Intern at The Andersons, Inc. and in 2019, they became a Human Resource Generalist at Discover Books. As a Human Resource Generalist, they assist with recruiting, pre-screening and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for 9 company facilities, submitting and tracking background checks, and handling unemployment claims from multiple states. As an Intern at The Andersons, Inc., they gained experience with the Workday system, created job aids for Workday processes, and helped create a corporate human resource guide. As a Sales Associate at DSW, they organized shoes and kept the store clean, greeted customers, and assisted customers with their purchases. As a Hostess at Shawns Irish Tavern, they organized the seating of customers and the server's section, established communication with servers, and coordinated the set up of customers to their tables.

Kayla VanSlyke began their educational journey in 2010 when they attended Springfield High School. Kayla then moved on to Kent State University in 2014, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. In 2015, they transferred to The University of Toledo, where they completed a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General in 2018.
