Naveen Thalanki

Naveen Thalanki, MS, MBA, serves as the Head of Data Management - Data Ops at Discover Financial Services since August 2020, leading a team to design solutions encompassing data modeling and architecture governance while collaborating closely with Information Risk. Prior to this, Naveen held various leadership roles at AXIS Capital, where responsibilities included overseeing Data Governance and Data Protection services, as well as defining and delivering Data Strategy capabilities. At The Hartford, significant contributions were made in creating enterprise-wide data strategies and managing a portfolio of data projects. Naveen's earlier experience at GE involved enhancing data governance and agile BI practices, while the tenure at Boehringer Ingelheim focused on managing the award-winning B2B portal for sales transactions. Academic qualifications include a Master's in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MBA in International Business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University.
