Ashiq Hussain Khan

Ashiq Hussain Khan has over two decades of work experience in various roles within the technology and architecture domains. Ashiq Hussain is currently serving as the Chief Strategy Officer at discovermarket since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AXA as the Regional Head of Architecture from May 2021 to November 2021.

From 2016 to 2021, Ashiq held multiple positions at Manulife, including Head of Asia Digital, Distribution Architecture (Regional) and AVP, Head of Digital Delivery. In these roles, they focused on digital transformation, enterprise architecture, and establishing best practices for transformation projects across multiple Asian countries.

Before joining Manulife, Ashiq worked at AIG as the APAC Digital Enterprise Architecture Lead, where they led digital and mobile IT initiatives across 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region. Ashiq Hussain also served as the Regional Enterprise Transformation Architect for claims and distribution solutions in Japan.

Prior to AIG, Ashiq was the Head of Engineering at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd, where they led strategic programs and delivery projects for the Japan market. Ashiq Hussain also worked at New City Mortgage as the Chief Architect, leading the development and implementation of an IT platform for a home loan startup in Japan.

At the start of their career, Ashiq worked at Wipro Technologies as a Bilingual Technology Consultant, focusing on BFSI projects for Japan. Ashiq Hussain played key roles in the consolidation and transformation of e-business applications for Citibank Consumer Banking and the enhancement of online trading platforms for Daiwa Securities.

Throughout their career, Ashiq has demonstrated expertise in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, solution architecture, project governance, and vendor management.

Ashiq Hussain Khan completed their schooling from RSK Trichy between 1993 and 1995, where they pursued Science as their field of study. Following this, between 1996 and 2000, Ashiq pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science from Government Engineering College, Thrissur.
