Adriano Pimentel

Adriano Pimentel has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Adriano is currently working as an IT Director at Discovery Hotel Management starting from October 2022. Previously, they served as an IT Operations Manager at NOS SGPS from April 2021 to October 2022. Prior to that, they worked at EDP as an IT Infrastructure Operations Manager from February 2016 to April 2021. Before joining EDP, they were associated with Portugal Telecom, where they held multiple roles including IT Operations Manager, IT Service Management, IT Infrastructure Management Specialist, and Customer Support Center Coordinator from May 2014 to January 2016, September 2009 to May 2014, June 2004 to September 2009, and November 2002 to June 2004 respectively. Adriano's earlier work experience includes an IT Technical Support role at HP from July 2001 to November 2002.

Adriano Pimentel completed their high school education at Escola Secundária José Saramago from 1997 to 2002, with a focus on computers. Adriano then pursued a graduate degree in IT Engineering at Universidade Moderna de Lisboa from 2003 to 2008. Following that, they obtained another graduate degree in Information Systems from Instituto Superior Técnico, where they studied from 2009 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Adriano Pimentel has earned several certifications in various fields. In 2006, they obtained the Accredited Integration Specialist certification from HP OpenView Service Management, as well as the Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from Exin. In 2010, they obtained the ISO/IEC20000 for Consultant Certificate from itSMF - The IT Service Management Forum. Further enhancing their skills, Adriano Pimentel acquired the IPMA Level D - Certified Project Management Associate from the International Project Management Association in May 2010.

Throughout their career, Adriano Pimentel has also pursued certification in cloud computing and related technologies. In December 2019, they earned the AWS Technical Essentials certification and the Architecting on AWS certification, both from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Additionally, in February 2020, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
