Mauricio Ortiz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Mauricio began their career at POSTOBON S.A. in 1991, where they served as the Regional Sales Manager until 2004. During this time, they were responsible for managing the sales team, coordinating activities, and monitoring competition. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as a Brand Manager, focusing on marketing strategies and brand development.
In 2007, Mauricio returned to POSTOBON S.A. as the Marketing Director, where they were responsible for long-term planning and developing marketing strategies for the company's own brands and franchised brands. Mauricio then transitioned to become the Director of Merchandising, where they continued to oversee brand performance and marketing efforts.
In 2008, Mauricio joined Muma Mobiliario as the Commercial Director, a role they held until 2010. Mauricio then moved on to Dispresco, where they served as the Commercial Director, leading the coordination and control of sales activities, special sales programs, and negotiations with special clients.
In 2012, Mauricio joined Fabrica De Licores Y Alcoholes De Antioquia S.A. as the Deputy Marketing and Sales Manager. Four years later, they joined POSTOBON S.A. once again, this time as the Regional Sales Director. In this role, they were responsible for setting commercial objectives and strategies, managing distribution centers, and overseeing a large sales team and customer base.
From 2018 to 2020, Mauricio worked at Grupo Indufrial as the Vice President of Sales. Here, they focused on achieving budget goals, fostering customer relationships, and expanding international markets. Mauricio successfully opened new markets in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Ecuador, which accounted for 15% of total sales.
Most recently, in 2020, Mauricio joined Dislicores as the Regional Sales Director. In this position, they lead sales for Dislicores' portfolio in Cundinamarca and Llanos Orientales, ensuring budget compliance and company growth, as well as overseeing a regional team.
Mauricio Ortiz completed their education with a degree in Marketing from Universidad CES, specializing in Gerencia de Mercadeo, in 2008. Prior to that, they obtained a degree in Business Administration from Fundación Universitaria María Caño in 2006, with a focus on general Administration and Management of businesses.
