Akbar Shaik is an accomplished engineering manager and director specializing in data and artificial intelligence, currently leading the Data platform, Data products, Data Science, and ADM teams at DISQO since July 2022. With a strong background in guiding organizations through AI and data-driven strategies as an investor and advisor since 2015, Akbar has also held significant roles at Nextdoor as a Data & AI Leader, where contributions enhanced data services and user satisfaction, and at Groupon, driving innovations in data architecture. Previous experience includes co-founding Whizdemy and serving as a senior software engineer at The Home Depot, where Akbar identified opportunities for technological improvement. Akbar holds a Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Memphis.
