Wael Attalla

Wael Attalla has over 25 years of work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Wael began their career at PwC and Deloitte & Touche as an Auditor from 1992 to 1998. Wael then worked at Agility as a Controller from 1998 to 2002, followed by a position as a Financial Analyst at Burgan Bank from 2002 to 2004.

In 2004, Wael joined the Metal & Recycling Company as a Consultant, where they introduced the company's first budget and implemented changes that resulted in record profits and a 600% increase in the company's share price. Wael then moved to Gulf Cryo as a Corporate Finance Manager from 2004 to 2005, where they managed a finance team and implemented policies and procedures to improve staff performance.

From 2005 to 2008, Wael served as the Chief Financial Officer at KGL Logistics, where they played a key role in the company's listing on the stock exchange. Wael was responsible for acquisitions, establishment of branches, and major department staffing.

In 2008, Wael joined KGL Ports International as the Chief Financial Officer and managed corporate finance for the headquarters and branches/subsidiaries. Wael was part of a successful in-house share placement to increase the company's capital.

Most recently, Wael has been working at Distributel since 2011 as a Controller. The exact dates of their roles at Distributel are unspecified.

Wael Attalla completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting from Mansoura University from 1985 to 1990. After that, they pursued an MBA degree from Maastricht School of Management from 2006 to 2009. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Certified Management Accountant designation from the Institute of Management Accountants in April 2004. Later, in February 2014, they obtained the Certified Professional Accountant designation from CPA Ontario.
