Joseph Costello

Joseph Costello serves as the Director at District Management Group since March 2018, overseeing consulting engagements for over 40 public school districts and state education agencies across more than 20 states, focusing on strategic planning and resource allocation. Previously held roles include Senior Associate, Associate, and Teaching Fellow at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, providing instruction on public education policy and finance. Joseph’s earlier experience as an AP Economics and Math Teacher at Clark County School District contributed to significant improvements in student achievement and graduation rates at a high-needs school. Joseph started a career in education as a Corps Member with Teach For America, following intensive training to support under-resourced public schools, and gained foundational experience as a Community Economic Development Intern at Franklin County Community Development Corporation. Joseph holds a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Economics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
