DriveChange Learning and Resource Centre is a progressive K-12 learning centre. We strive to provide a holistic learning environment, guided by passionate facilitators who nurture independent thinking, creativity, responsibility, and integrity in the students. At DLRC education enables children and young adults to hone their full potential and believe in their power to produce positive change. The programme combines academic rigour with the joys of learning, all from a green, sustainable campus. It is situated on a farm and is carefully designed with eco-friendly elements to inculcate sustainable practices. Classrooms are open and made with bamboo or wood with mud floors. The campus houses a library, 17 classrooms, a science lab, a design lab, a playground and an amphitheatre. There are other open spaces for sports (such as basketball, football and volleyball), meetings and lessons. DLRC is proud to have compost toilets with a flush-less system which advocates its zero waste discharge policy. These bins, alongside the biogas system, convert biomass into manure which is used as fertiliser for the beds. Parallely, the methane gas from the biogas system fuels the stove in the kitchen. And the newest addition to the zero water waste policy is the Aquaponics system, which irrigates vegetables and raises fishes which help purify the water. We feel very fortunate to have a green campus with such facilities in the city, with diverse flora and fauna.
