Werner van der Walt

Werner van der Walt is an experienced mining engineer currently serving as a Senior Mining Estimator at DMC Mining Services since February 2021. Prior to this role, Werner held multiple positions at Cementation Americas from September 2014 to February 2021, including Project Controls Specialist and Senior Estimator. Werner's earlier career spanned from February 2007 to September 2014 at Murray and Roberts Cementation, where responsibilities included Senior Estimator, Mine Overseer, and Graduate Mining Engineer across various disciplines. The journey in the mining field commenced at Anglo Platinum as a Graduate Mining Engineer from January 2004 to February 2007. Academically, Werner obtained a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from the University of Pretoria and possesses several certifications, including the Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency and Mine Overseer's Certificate of Competency from the Department of Mineral Resources. Additionally, Werner completed the Management Advancement Program at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010.
