Christopher Singer

Christopher Singer began their career in 2012 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at UNC Charlotte, where they worked with Dr. Angela Davies in optical photogrammetry. After that, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UNC Charlotte, where they were responsible for conveying complex solutions and concepts to young scientists and engineers. In 2018, they joined Lowe's Companies, Inc. as a Data Scientist, where they helped architect and construct optimization software that controlled billions of dollars annually worth of inventory through Lowe's shipping network. Christopher was then promoted to Senior Data Scientist, leading projects in both R&D and Forecasting spaces within data science. In 2021, Christopher moved to MutualMarkets as a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, where they created a B2B recommendation system to enhance co-marketing campaigns. Finally, in 2023, they joined dMetrics as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer.

Christopher Singer obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC) in 2013, after beginning their studies there in 2011. Christopher also obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics from UNCC in 2013. In 2014, they earned a Master of Science (MS) in Applied Physics from UNCC, and in 2019 they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from UNCC.
