Sal Limbu (E.I.T.) has a diverse work experience in civil engineering. Sal began their career as a Civil Site Engineer at Modern House Construction, where they supervised construction works and performed various tasks related to site planning, surveying, and project management. Sal then worked as a Civil Design Engineer at Design Point Pvt. Ltd., where they designed roadways, storm drainage systems, and water supply and distribution systems. Sal utilized software such as Civil 3D and AutoCAD to prepare design drawings and cost estimates. Sal later joined Utah State University as a Research Assistant, where they conducted research on surface and groundwater flows and stormwater management models. Sal also participated in the EPA Stormwater Green Infrastructure Project. Currently, Sal is working at Horrocks Engineers as a Drainage Engineer.

Sal Limbu (E.I.T.) completed a Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering specialization with hydrology and water resources from Utah State University. This educational achievement took place from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2011, Sal earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Tribhuwan University, IOE, Pulchowk Campus, Kathmandu, Nepal. Earlier, from 2002 to 2005, Sal completed a High School three-year Diploma in Civil Engineering from Tribhuwan University, IOE, Purwanchal Campus, Dharan, Nepal.

In terms of certifications, Sal obtained an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) designation from Ncess in February 2019. Additionally, in April 2011, Sal received the NEC Registration certification from the Nepal Engineering Council.
