Bernd Teigler

Bernd Teigler has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of geology and exploration. Bernd started their career in 1992 as a Project Geologist at Rio Tinto Minerals and later served as a Senior Geologist. In 1996, they established their own consulting firm, Dr. B. Teigler, where they provided geology and contract services until 2008. From 2008 to present, they worked as a Principal Economic Geologist at DMT GmbH & Co. KG, specializing in geology, exploration, and resource definition. Bernd also held board positions at DMT Kai Batla (Pty) Ltd and DMT Geosciences Limited. At DMT Kai Batla, they served as a Board Member from 2014 and later as the Chief Executive Officer from 2017 to 2019. In DMT Geosciences Limited, they were a Board Member from 2015 to 2019.

Bernd Teigler earned their MSc (Hauptdiplom) in Geology from Justus Liebig University Giessen, which they attended from 1982 to 1985. Bernd later pursued a PhD in Geology at Rhodes University, completing their studies from 1987 to 1990.
