Shagun Sharma is a scientist currently working at DNA Electronics (DNAe) since 2022. Prior to this, they had worked at PerkinElmer, Inc. from 2020 to 2022, where they held various positions including Clinical Data Analysis Supervisor, Clinical Data Analyst, and RNA Extraction Technician. Shagun also worked as a Research Assistant at The University of Akron from 2012 to 2019, where they contributed to Environment Microbiology and Biomaterials Labs. shagun gained experience as a Product Development Executive at MANKIND PHARMA LTD in 2011 and started their career as a Science Teacher at Skylark Education Center from 2007 to 2011.

Shagun Sharma began their education in 2007 at IILM, Greater Noida, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Biotechnology, which they completed in 2011. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Akron in 2012 and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, concluding their studies in 2014. Continuing their academic journey, Shagun then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Integrated Biosciences at The University of Akron from 2015 to 2023.
