Nick Riddiford

Nick Riddiford's work experience includes roles as a Team Leader in Bioinformatics at DNA Script, a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at DNA Script, Founder and lead developer of researching.io, a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Institut Curie - Research Centre, and a Research Assistant at the Natural History Museum. Nick'sresponsibilities at DNA Script included building and growing the Bioinformatics team, developing analytical tools and pipelines, and working on high-stakes projects. As a Founder of researching.io, they created a social network for active researchers. At Institut Curie, they conducted bioinformatics research on genome instability in cancer genomes. During their PhD at NUI Galway, their focus was on unraveling a gene regulatory network for sense organ development, and they also taught classes and managed research projects. At the Natural History Museum, they worked as a Research Assistant.

Nick Riddiford completed their education in a chronological order. Nick started with a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Zoology from the University of Leeds, which they obtained from 2004 to 2007. Nick then pursued their Master of Science (MSc DIC) in Evolutionary Biology from Imperial College London between 2008 and 2009. Nick further continued their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Developmental Neurobiology and Bioinformatics from the University of Galway from 2011 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Nick obtained a certification in Gene Regulatory Networks for Development from MBL in October 2012.
