Declan McGinley

Declan McGinley is a Senior Renewable Energy Consultant and the Head of Operations for ReWind by DNV since November 2021, focusing on sustainable decommissioning and recycling of wind turbines. McGinley has extensive experience in the renewable energy sector, having previously worked as a Renewable Energy Consultant, where responsibilities included technical due diligence for multi-asset portfolios, and as an Innovation Consultant, leading internal projects to develop viable digital products. Additional experience includes roles at Leonardo as a Senior Systems Engineer and at WSP in the UK as a Graduate Energy Engineer. Early career positions include sailing instruction and public relations. Declan holds a Master’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, with an international exchange at Louisiana State University.
