Virginia Raffaeli

Virginia Raffaeli is an experienced professional in climate, sustainability, and international relations, currently working as an Associate at Global Counsel since September 2022. In this role, Virginia assists clients in navigating European environmental and social sustainability frameworks while engaging with political and regulatory stakeholders, particularly in the chemicals and textiles sectors. Prior to this, Virginia served as a Research Officer at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, focusing on various geopolitical themes, and as an Academic Trainee at the International Committee of the Red Cross, where research centered on the law of armed conflicts. Virginia's earlier experience includes a legal internship at the Center for International Environmental Law, roles at Durham University Pro Bono Society, and a marshalling position in the High Court of England and Wales. Virginia holds an LLM in International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights from the Geneva Academy, as well as an LLB from Durham University.
