Daron Lawson

Director Of Audio Visual at Dobil Laboratories

Daron Lawson has a diverse work experience spanning over four decades. Daron began their career as a Playback Audio and Video Technician at Sport View Technologies in 1988, where they programmed televisions, operated cameras, and controlled camera units for four years. Daron then worked as a Video Editor and Video Duplication Manager at Final Cut Video from 1993 to 1997. Following that, they were employed as an Audio Engineer and Video Duplication Manager at Silver Shadow Productions until 2002, where they operated digital audio recording tools, performed audio restoration, and mastered CDs. In 2003, Daron joined the Town of Danville, serving as the Theatre Operations Manager and overseeing all aspects of theater operations. Daron also worked as a Carpenter Assistant at Opera San Jose from 2005 to 2006. From 2006 to 2014, they were with Visual Aids Electronics, initially starting as an AV Tech/Lighting/Rigger and later being promoted to Technical Specialist. During this time, they installed audiovisual equipment, managed lighting and rigging, and ensured client satisfaction. Daron then joined PSAV in 2014 as an Operations Manager and later took on the role of Assistant Director Event Tech II until 2018. Currently, they are the Director of Audio Visual at Dobil Laboratories, Inc., a position they have held since December 2021.

Daron Lawson obtained an Associates degree in Audio and Video Business from The Art Institutes, where they attended from 1987 to 1989. Additionally, in January 2015, Daron completed the PSAV Rigging Training Workshop provided by PSAV.
