Martina Usher Wright

Martina Usher Wright has over 20 years of work experience in the healthcare industry. Martina currently holds the position of Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Doctor Care Anywhere since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bupa from 2015 to 2022, holding various roles including Director of Clinical Risk & Assurance, Director of Clinical Governance, and Director of Governance & Risk & Global Director of Clinical Quality & Assurance. Before their time at Bupa, they served as the Head of Clinical Governance at Bupa Global from 2013 to 2015. Martina also held the position of Integrated Governance Manager at HCA in 2013 and Risk & Governance Manager at BMI Healthcare from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, they gained experience as a Clinical Risk Consultant at Willis from 2006 to 2010 and at Marsh from 2001 to 2005.

Martina Usher Wright has a diverse and extensive education history. In 1993, they completed their general registered nurse training at St James's Hospital Dublin. Following this, Martina pursued further education and enrolled in Trinity College Dublin from 1997 to 1998, where they obtained a BNS Nursing Studies degree. In 1998, they continued their nursing education at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, earning a BSc in Nursing Management between 1998 and 2002.

Expanding their knowledge, Martina completed a Healthcare Risk Management program at University College Dublin from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained their HDip HRM. In 2009, they enrolled in NEBOSH for a Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety to further enhance their expertise.

In 2018, Martina pursued a specialization in data protection law and completed an Advanced Diploma in Data Protection Law at The Honorable Society of King's Inns. Additionally, during the same year, they attended the Institute of Risk Management, where they obtained an International Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management.
