Hugo Ruggieri is a legal professional with experience in IP/IT law, personal data protection, and artificial intelligence. Hugo began their career in 2017 as a legal intern at Cohen & Gresser LLP, followed by a legal internship at Google in the same year. In 2018, Hugo took on roles as a lecturer at the University of Strasbourg and ENSCBP, as well as a legal intern at Herbert Smith Freehills. Hugo also co-founded two organizations, GALATEA and Aeon (Droit des nouvelles technologies), in 2017. In 2018, Hugo became the Legal Director & DPO at Doctrine, and in 2020 they became the Head of Legal Affairs & DPO at the same company. Additionally, Hugo has been a lecturer at the Sciences Po since 2020 and a lecturer in personal data protection and artificial intelligence at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies - CEIPI since 2020.

Hugo Ruggieri has a comprehensive educational background. Hugo began their studies in 2006 at Lycée Descartes, where they earned a Baccalauréat Général in Social Sciences in 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they attended Sciences Po, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences in 2010, a Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law in 2013, and a Diplôme de Master 1 - Droit économique and a Diplôme de Master 2 - Droit de l'innovation in 2013. In 2012, they were an exchange student at Seoul National University, where they studied International Law and Legal Studies. From 2016 to 2018, they attended EFB - Ecole de Formation des Barreaux, where they earned a Certificat d'Aptitude à la Profession d'Avocat in Law. From 2016 to 2017, they also attended the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, where they earned a Master’s Degree in eCommerce and Digital economy law. In addition to their degrees, Hugo Ruggieri also holds certifications in Expert in legal research from Doctrine (2016), DELE - Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language level B2 from the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain (2010), Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) from Cambridge English Language Assessment (2008).
