Paul Gorry

Paul Gorry's work experience includes the following:

- Deputy Director and Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at The Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity since July 2023.

- Adjunct Professor in Medicine (Infectious Diseases), Adjunct Associate Professor in Medicine, and Adjunct Senior Lecturer in Medicine at Monash University from 2002 to present.

- Professorial Fellow in Microbiology and Immunology at University of Melbourne since January 2014.

- Honorary Senior Principal Research Fellow, Deputy Head of Centre for Biomedical Research, Principal for Immunity, Vaccines and Immunisation, and Senior Principal Research Fellow at Macfarlane Burnet Institute for Medical Research and Public Health (Burnet Institute) from 2002 to present.

- Associate Editor at Retrovirology since October 2013.

- Professor and Dean of Research & Innovation, Professor and Deputy Dean of Research and Innovation at RMIT University from 2014 to July 2023.

- Chair of Neurology Working Group at Australian National Centre for HIV Epidemiology and Clinical Research from 2007 to 2012.

- Postdoctoral Research Associate at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 1998 to 2002.

Paul Gorry holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Virology from RMIT University, which they obtained from 1994 to 1998. Paul pursued postdoctoral research in Neurovirology at Harvard Medical School from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Medical Microbiology at RMIT University from 1989 to 1993.
