Eileen Xie

Eileen Xie has worked in the software industry since 2009. In 2009, they began as a Software QA Engineer at Axolotl Corp., where they built a product-specific automated testing framework with Java, Selenium, and TestNG to test cross-browser web UI, Domino databases, DB2 databases, and SOAP services. Eileen also administered virtual machine environments in VMware Lab Manager for development, testing, and continuous integration with Hudson and Maven. In 2010, they joined PBworks as a Program Manager and Head of Quality. In this role, they were responsible for overall software quality, ran day to day engineering projects, introduced project management software and weekly sprint cycles, and built open source PHP bindings for Selenium 2/WebDriver. In 2014, they became a Lead Software Engineer at Dokkio, where they were solely responsible for architecting and maintaining iOS app using Objective-C and Cocoa and wrote and maintained tests using XCTestCase. Eileen also built core features in web app using JavaScript, ES6/7, React, Apollo, Tailwind, HeadlessUI, Redux Form, Bootstrap, jQuery, and CSS modules.

Eileen Xie attended Caltech from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
