Lynda M. G.

Lynda M. Garcia is an experienced professional with a strong background in community health and education. Currently serving as the Community Health Worker Coordinator for Doña Ana County since July 2022, Lynda supervises Covid-19 response staff and builds capacity for Community Health Workers. Prior experience includes working as a Certified Parent Mentor at the Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico from February 2020 to June 2022, where Lynda partnered with parents to achieve kindergarten readiness and developed comprehensive plans for the well-being of families with young children. Lynda also worked as a High School Tutor from August 2019 to February 2020 and as a Communications Coordinator for the United Way of Southwest New Mexico and La Clinica de Familia from March 2017 to July 2019, managing social media and communications for a diverse education initiative. Lynda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education from New Mexico State University and a Master's Degree in Corporate Communications & Public Relations from Sacred Heart University.
