Joel Moniz is a seasoned machine learning professional with extensive experience in leading innovative projects across multiple top-tier technology companies. Currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at DoorDash since August 2024, Joel Moniz manages a team focused on leveraging deep learning and foundation models to enhance media understanding related to menu items. Prior to DoorDash, Joel Moniz held various roles at Apple from 2018 to 2024, including Senior Machine Learning Engineer within Siri's Conversational Intelligence Team and Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Natural Language Understanding.
