Traci Tomas

Traci Tomas is the Chief Operating Officer at Doran Companies. Traci has over 9 years of experience in commercial real estate development and property management.

Traci started their career in 2010 as President of Continental Property Group. Traci led the operations for a national real estate company with a portfolio of over 4 million square feet, consisting of office, industrial, and multi-family properties.

In 2012, Traci was able to salvage an apartment project that was initially stalled in litigation with the city. Traci stepped in to build a development team that ultimately engaged the community and achieved government approvals, resulting in the successful construction of a 119-unit luxury multifamily building. The eventual sale rendered the highest price per unit in the market.

In 2014, Traci rescued a 172-unit multifamily project after it was discovered that the lumber used was not code compliant. Traci insisted the general contractor provide a solution, which they were unable to provide, resulting in contract termination. Traci ordered compliant building materials, secured construction management, and modified financing to complete the project with minimal amount of delay. The project achieved occupancy levels exceeding initial projections by ninety days.

Thanks to their experience and successes, Traci was promoted to Chief Operating Officer at Doran Companies in 2019. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s operations, from development and construction to asset management and accounting. Under their leadership, Doran Companies has flourished, becoming one of the most respected names in the commercial real estate industry.

Traci Tomas has an MBA from St. Cloud State University - Herberger Business School and a BS in Aviation Management from St. Cloud State University. Traci is also a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a Certified Property Manager (CPM) from the CCIM Institute and the Institute of Real Estate Management, respectively. Traci is also a Minnesota Licensed Real Estate Broker.
