Clara Smith

Clara Smith is an outreach intern at the Office of Energy & Sustainability, where responsibilities include writing the University’s Climate Action Plan, drafting monthly sustainability newsletters, managing marketing and social media, and overseeing public outreach and event planning. As the president of Greeks Gone Green, Clara re-launched the organization to promote sustainable involvement on campus, leading meetings and liaising with the University and other organizations. Current roles also include guest service representative at Double Tree By Hilton, where Clara enhanced customer satisfaction ratings by 40%, and marketing and program management intern at SolPods, focusing on social media content and marketing strategies. Prior experience includes working as a back waiter at The Pastaria & Market, managing inventory and assisting with training new hires. Clara is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government at San Diego State University, expected to graduate in December 2024.
