Philip Cross

Philip Cross has extensive work experience in supply chain management and procurement. Philip has held various roles in different companies, starting from 1987 to the present.

Philip'smost recent position (since August 2022) is as the Director of Logistics, Sourcing & Supply at Douglas Dynamics, Inc., where they oversee a total spend of $70M and leads a team focused on strategic management of inbound and outbound freight.

Prior to this, Philip was the Director of Sourcing & Supply at the same company, responsible for coordinating and leveraging key commodity spend categories, supplier performance, and supporting customer expectations.

Before joining Douglas Dynamics, Inc., Philip worked at Huf North America as a Purchasing Manager and later as a Continuous Improvement Manager, responsible for managing purchasing activities, consolidating the supply base, and implementing a formal continuous improvement program.

Earlier in their career, Philip held roles such as Program Manager, Product Development Manager, Sr. Product Design Engineer, and Project Engineer - New Product Development, gaining experience in managing projects, product design and development, and engineering activities.

Philip'swork experience extends further back to their roles as Piston Application Engineer and Product Engineer at Karl Schmidt Unisia, where they were responsible for product development and design in the automotive industry.

Throughout their career, Philip has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a focus on continuous improvement in the supply chain and procurement functions.

Philip Cross earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Technology from Purdue University from 1983 to 1986. In 2010, they pursued an MBA in International Business at Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University.
