Sasi is a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who joined Douglas Partners in 2017. Since then he has worked in both our Sydney and Newcastle offices and is now working in our Canberra office.
Sasi completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) at University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka followed by a Masters and PhD degrees at Washington State University in the USA. He has worked as a Geotechnical Engineer in the USA, Sri Lanka and Australia since completing his studies in 2006.
Sasi has over thirteen years' experience in the geotechnical consulting field and has a wide range of experience in geotechnical engineering projects including deep foundation and retaining structures, roads, railways, slope stabilisation, earthquake engineering, liquefaction and dams.
Sasi is passionate about finding solutions to difficult geotechnical problems and has considerable expert knowledge in numerical modelling and its practical applications to complex geotechnical problems. He has specialist experience in the designs of rafts, piled rafts, piles, deep excavations, anchors and ventilation shafts.
