David Cloete

David Cloete has a diverse and extensive work experience in various engineering management roles. David began their career at Amcor Kiwi Packaging as an Engineering Manager, where they were responsible for managing maintenance and overseeing engineering projects. David later joined Transfield Services Tasman as an Engineering & Reliability Manager, leading a team in maintaining the Tasman Pulp Mill. David then worked at Solid Energy New Zealand Ltd as a Reliability Improvement Manager, tasked with identifying and implementing improvement opportunities for asset performance. David furthered their career at Progressive Enterprises Limited as an Engineering Services Manager, overseeing engineering, maintenance, and project management at the Countdown Cabinet Ready Meat processing site. David was also an Engineering Manager at Bayer Animal Health before joining Douglas Pharmaceuticals. At Douglas Pharmaceuticals, they currently hold the position of Head of Engineering, leading the engineering department.

David Cloete's education history begins in 1980 when they attended Damelin and obtained a High School Certificate. From 1982 to 1985, they enrolled at Wits University and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Engineering, specializing in Materials Engineering. Following this, they attended the University of Cape Town from 1989 to 1990, where they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Materials Engineering.
