Jolene Bordeau is an experienced professional in the field of recreational therapy and education, currently serving as a Senior Case Coordinator and Senior Program Coordinator at the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin since July 2018. In this role, Jolene engages directly with individuals to explore vocational interests and collaborates with Nicolet High School to co-teach transition program students aged 18-21. Prior experience includes an internship with the Boulder EXPAND Program, where Jolene utilized recreation to enhance social skills and community integration, and positions as Lead Teacher at Stepping Stones Children's Center and Teacher Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Children's Center. Jolene also worked as a Camp Counselor for Easterseals Southeast Wisconsin, supporting individuals with disabilities. Jolene holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and has pursued additional studies at the University of Galway and the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
