Marya Akhtar

Marya Akhtar has extensive experience in educational leadership, currently serving as the Director of Global Business Development, Director of Higher Education & Global Initiatives, and Director of Higher Education at Downe House School since September 2006. Prior to this role, Marya was the Head of Years 9-11 and a teacher of Economics at Kuwait English School from August 2000 to August 2006. Marya holds an Executive Education certificate in Digital Disruption: Digital Transformation Strategies from Cambridge Judge Business School and a PGCE in Economics & Business Studies from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. Additionally, Marya has qualifications from the Institute of Directors (IoD).
