Adam Mourning

VP Operations at Downing

Adam Mourning has a diverse work experience in the oil and gas industry. Adam started their career at Smith International in 2004, where they worked as a Field Engineer for a year before becoming a District Manager. In 2007, they transitioned to the role of Product Line Manager, where they focused on expanding completion systems product line business in the Western US region. Adam then became a Field Engineer Supervisor, responsible for managing field engineering personnel and ensuring product development and technical support needs were met. In 2008, they became a Sr. District Manager, overseeing the completions operations in Oklahoma City and Elk City. In 2009, Adam joined Schlumberger as an Operations Manager for US Land Completions, where they supervised district managers and field salesmen, identified new areas for expansion, and developed new products. Adam later became the Operations Manager for MidCon Unconventional Completions. In 2018, Adam moved to Downing as the VP of Operations.

Adam Mourning attended the University of Oklahoma from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following that, they pursued further education at the same institution from 2007 to 2010, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Finance and Energy. In addition to their degrees, Adam also obtained a certification in the Integrated Business Planning Course from Oliver Wight in March 2015.
