Viviana Huang Chen, MD, MPP has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Viviana started their career at Kaiser Permanente, where they completed their Family Medicine Residency from July 2016 to June 2019. During this time, they also worked as a Per Diem Physician. In 2019, they joined AltaMed Health Services as a Physician Informaticist and Family Medicine Physician. Currently, they are working at Doximity as a Digital Health Fellow, starting in January 2023. Viviana will also serve as a Faculty Advisor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science from July 2023 onwards.

Viviana Huang Chen, MD, MPP completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology as well as in Spanish Language & Bilingual Issues from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2003 to 2007. Viviana then pursued their medical education at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from 2011 to 2016. Concurrently, they also pursued a Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree from the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, which they completed from 2014 to 2016.
