Thorsten Prehn

Thorsten Prehn has held a variety of roles in the IT security sector since 1995. Thorsten began their career as a Production Manager at Atis Limited, Atlanta U.S.A. in 1995. In 1997, they moved to Hewlett-Packard, where they held the roles of IS Project Manager and Process Engineer. In 2000, they joined Hughes Network Systems as a Key Account Manager and Project Manager. In 2004, they joined Utimaco Safeware AG a member of the Sophos Group as an International Sales Program Manager and Key Account Manager. From 2009-2014, they were the LIMS Delivery & Governance Director and Manager Sales Operations at Utimaco Safeware AG. From 2014-2017, they worked as an Account Manager IT Security at TÜV Rheinland i-sec GmbH. In 2018, they joined Avecto as an Enterprise Account Manager Security and Rohde & Schwarz Cybersecurity as a Key Account Manager Application & Cloud Security. In 2022, they will join DRACOON GmbH as a Key-Account-Manager.

Thorsten Prehn obtained a Diplom Wirtschaftsingenieur (Master of Economy & Industrial Engineering) from the University of Applied Sciences Giessen-Friedberg between 1988 and 1994. In 1997 and 1998, they attended TU Chemnitz for Kommunikations und Informationssysteme. In 2013, they completed a Lead Implementer ISO/IEC 27001 Certification at BSI Group Australia. In 2021, they obtained the IT-Sicherheitsbeauftragter (ITSiBe) / Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) certification from Bitkom, and they also hold a Lead Implementer ISO/IEC 27001 certification from BSI, obtained in 2013.
