Marissa Patlingrao Cooley is currently the SVP, Brand Marketing & Creative at Draper James. Prior to that, they were the Creative Lead and Director of Content & Copy at Tory Burch from April 2013 to October 2019. While at Tory Burch, they established the global creative content strategy discipline and created the seasonal blueprint for strategic brand storytelling. Marissa also drove product narratives from concept through execution, led global campaign development, and steered content creation and messaging cadence for seasonal refreshes of eight global ecommerce sites, 300+ email marketing campaigns per year, as well as syndication across seven regions and special content for paid social and performance marketing programs.

In addition, they developed a series of brand storytelling franchises to drive customer engagement and provide scalable internal templates for product and brand narratives across all regions and channels. Marissa also oversaw brand voice, storytelling and creative content across print and digital, with a focus on mobile user experience. Furthermore, they directed and top-edited the Digital Creative team to ensure all creative met strategic business and brand goals and inspired the customer. Finally, they ideated, executed and collaborated cross-functionally to create shoppable and mobile-friendly digital experiences, including new templates to enable easy creation of future content.

Marissa Patlingrao Cooley has a BA in Comparative Literature + Italian Studies from Brown University and Berkeley Carroll School.
