Job description

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager in our Mining Solutions Division, Perth.  Reporting to the Head of Finance - Mining Solutions Division, the incumbent will have the following key responsibilities:

Position Summary:

  • Coordinate Accounting, Finance, and Administration function of the entity.

  • Supervise and provide guidance to colleagues from the Accounting & Finance team.

  • Cooperate with Group Shared Service Center (GSSC) in Prague.

  • Ensure statutory compliance within Accounting and Finance functional area.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal control standards and best practices.

  • Lead for R&D activity and tax claim eligibility

  • Perform company secretarial function for MPS as an Australian business

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assign tasks to the Accounting, Finance and Administration team of the company,

  • Cooperate with Group Shared Service Center (GSSC) as appropriate.

  • Ensure that monthly accounts reconciliations are prepared and reviewed.

  • Prepare financial statements and ensure smooth audit process.

  • Perform company secretarial services to comply with Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) regulatory requirements

  • Perform as lead for identification of R&D eligible activities and coordinate R&D tax offset via internal resources and external consultants

  • Coordinate tax filling of the company via internal staff or via external tax consultants.

  • Coordinate input for yearly budget of the company in line with Group guidelines. Ensure that company’s finance, accounting and administration processes are aligned with internal control standards and general best practices.

  • Supervise junior colleagues from the Accounting, Finance and Administration team, provide guidance and help and develop talents within the organization.

  • Cooperate with other departments on tasks and activities under finance supervision (e.g. timely cash collection).

  • Represent the Company’s values.

  • Various ad hoc questions, tasks and projects within functional responsibility or requested by direct supervisor.

  • Perform other tasks as per management assignment

Critical Skills:

  • People orientation, relationship building skills, stress resistance.

  • People and project leading skills

  • University education in Accounting or Finance

  • International Accounting Qualification appreciated (IFRS, US GAAP)

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional work experience in accounting

  • Experience from multinational corporations preferred.

  • SAP R3 or S4 Hana, MS Office

  • Ability to apply hands-on approach.
