Metallurgical Technician - Part-time

About the business

Draslovka is a Czech family-owned global leader in CN-based specialty chemicals, that includes sustainable solutions for the metal mining industry. Draslovka acquired the Chemours Mining Business in late 2021 and so Draslovka has become the global leader in cyanide manufacture and supply to the gold mining industry. Perth based Mining and Process Solutions Pty Ltd (MPS) was formed in July 2014, and was subsequently acquired by Draslovka in May 2022.  MPS focuses on bringing innovative thinking and technology to the mining and processing of base and precious metals deposits.

MPS acquired the global and exclusive rights to commercialize Glycine Leaching Technology (GLT); a suite of hydrometallurgical processes developed at Curtin University that sought to improve metal processing efficiency and reduce the reliance on toxic reagents. One of the processes, branded GlyCat, is market ready with two operations in Central Africa having used the technology in a commercial application. It has also been extensively piloted in Australia with over 3500 hours of continuous operation on ores from Australia’s largest gold mining operations. These two processes are further supported by a robust portfolio of new processes under development and being nurtured through early R&D phases.
