Nelva Mendoza Cano

Nelva Mendoza Cano is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in educational and arts administration roles. Currently serving as a Success Mentor at PS 51 Bronx STEM & Arts Academy since October 2018, Nelva has held various fellowships at DreamYard Project, including Arts Administration Fellow, Fashion Legacy Fellow, and DY Thinkubator Legacy Fellow. Additionally, Nelva worked as an After-School Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative from September 2019 to March 2020 and previously gained experience as an Art Assistant Intern at DreamYard Project. Nelva is pursuing a degree at Lehman College, following the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and Latin American Culture from Barnard College in April 2021, and holds a high school diploma from Marble Hill School for International Studies, earned in 2018.
